Claims

1. The absorbent piece consists of a defined absorbent core and a backplate covering the core and a surrounding framework region characterized by the following trait: in the core region, the ratio of PACORM value to MVTR value of the backplate is less than 0.019 [mg/(g/m2/24h)], and the MUTR value of the backplate of the surrounding framework region is higher than the MUTR value of the backplate of the core region.

2. The adsorbent piece conforming to claim 1 shall have the following characteristics: in the axial region, the ratio of PACORM value to MVTR value of the back sheet shall be less than 0.016 [mg/(g/m2/24hr)].

3. The absorbent element as per claim 1 shall have the following characteristics: the MVTR of the sheet of the framework area surrounding the core shall be less than 20% and greater than the MUTR of the back sheet of the core area.

4. The absorbent piece, as per claim 1, is characterized by the following: the BS material covering the core has an air permeability of more than 1500 L/cm²/second.

5. The absorbent piece according to claim 1 has the following characteristics: the core covering material is non-permeable to liquid at a distance of less than 140 mm in the hydro-head test.

6. The absorbent piece, as per claim 1, shall have the following characteristics: the absorbent core shall have a maximum storage capacity of at least 75 ml.

8. The absorbent piece, as per claim 7, shall have the following specific characteristics: the absorbent core shall have a maximum storage capacity of at least 165 ml.

9. The absorbent piece, as per claim 8, shall have the following specific characteristics: the absorbent core shall have a maximum storage capacity of at least 300 ml.

10. The absorbent piece under claim 1 is characterized by the following: the core region consists of backsheet material with an MVTR greater than 4000 g/m²/24hr.

11. The absorbent piece under claim 1 is characterized by the following: the frame consists of a backing material with an aeration rate greater than 2500 L/s/cm².
