Abstract

DC60 (02/11/41) Disposable absorbent pads that retain low water vapor phase moisture in a cavity enclosed between the product and the wearer during use. This can be assessed by measuring relative humidity on a laboratory mannequin. This may be achieved by combining a low-wetting, high-performance absorbent core with a breathable backing material.

Claims (13)

1. An absorbent piece consisting of an absorbent core with a maximum storage capacity of at least 75 ml and yielding a PACORM of less than 140 mg, further comprising a layer of vapor-permeable pads with the specific characteristic that the product maintains a relative humidity of less than 55% after the initial burst for the Relative Humidity from a Mannequin (RHM) test. 2. The suction piece, as per claim 1, is characterized by the following: that the product maintains a relative humidity of less than 60% during the initial burst RHM test from the first burst. 3. The absorbent piece as per claim 1 is characterized by the following: the product maintains a relationship from the second overflow in RHM tests of less than 75%. 4. The absorbent piece, as per claim 1, is characterized by the following: that the product maintains a relative humidity of less than 85% during the third burst in the RHM test. 5. The absorbent piece, as per claim 1, is characterized by the following: that the product maintains a relative humidity of less than 90% during the third burst in the RHM test. 6. The absorbent piece, as per claim 1, is characterized by the following: that the product maintains a relative humidity of less than 90% during the fourth burst in the RHM test. 7. The absorbent piece, as per claim 1, shall have the following characteristics: the absorbent core shall have a maximum storage capacity of at least 90 ml. 8. The absorbent piece, as per claim 7, shall have the following specific characteristics: the absorbent core shall have a maximum storage capacity of at least 165 ml. 9. The absorbent piece, as per claim 8, has the following specific characteristics: the absorbent core has a maximum storage capacity of at least 300 ml. 10. The absorbent piece under claim 1, which includes additional material for the back panel of the product in the garment, has the following characteristics: the back panel has an MVTR value greater than 3800 g/m²/24hr. 11. The absorbent material pursuant to claim clause 10 is characterized by the following specifications: the backsheet material has an MVTR greater than 4500 g/m2824hr. 12. Absorbent material as per claim 1, which the product is a baby diaper. 13.
