The invention relates to non-destructive testing and, can be applied, in particular, when measuring the strength of products under mechanical loading. Methods are known for determining the strength of a product, namely, that the product is subjected to mechanical loading, and the strength of the product is judged by a signal of strain gauges 1 and 2 located on the product. However, the strain measuring methods are laborious, non-productive, and in some cases require preparation of the product surface -, it changes its mechanical properties) and provides insufficient accuracy of measurement. There is also a known method for determining the strength of a product, which consists in subjecting a product to mechanical loading and recording radiation due to exoelectronic emission, according to the intensity of which the strength of product 3 is judged. However, this method does not allow to determine the mechanical properties of materials that are not observed. the effect of exoelectron emission, and also does not allow to obtain data on the development of defects inside the sample. The need for testing in vacuum leads to errors in determining the strength of materials whose strength depends on the external environment. The purpose of the invention is to improve the accuracy and expand the scope and range of test materials. To achieve this goal, in the method of non-destructive testing of the strength of products, namely, that the product is subjected to mechanical loading, the electromagnetic radiation generated by the product is recorded and its intensity is judged on the strength, the electromagnetic radiation is recorded in the radio wave range, and the strength value is measured by the average the number of pulses per unit time. The pulsed electromagnetic radiation generated by the product as a result of its mechanical loading is recorded and occurs almost immediately with an insignificant change in the voltage value. From the average (during loading time) counting rate of electromagnetic pulses, either the relative strength of the products or the absolute values of strength are determined according to the empirical dependence obtained by destroying part of the samples after testing using the proposed method.
Example. A batch of glass samples is divided into three groups according to their relative strength (low strength, medium strength, high strength).
Сигнал усиливаетс , преобразовываетс в посто нное напр жение, пропорциональное числу импульсов в единицу времени, и записывают с помощью осциллографа .Samples, which are three-layer plates, are loaded with compressed air up to a pressure of 3 atm (0.2 tensile strength). Pulsed electromagnetic radiation in the frequency range 10–11 kHz is recorded with an antenna located at a distance of 3-5 mm from the sample. The signal is amplified, converted to a constant voltage proportional to the number of pulses per unit of time, and recorded using an oscilloscope.
Based on the data obtained, the samples are separated according to their relative strength.
The use of the invention makes it possible to increase the accuracy of measuring the strength of the products and to expand the use and assimilation of the test materials.
