(54) INDUCTION FURNACE
1one
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular, to structures of induction furnaces for melting refractory materials.
1.A known induction furnace for melting refractory materials, comprising an inductor and a metal water-cooled crucible 1.
However, this crucible has a large loss of heat by radiation, which leads to an increase in the unit cost of electricity for smelting and to a decrease in the productivity of the furnace.
The purpose of the invention is to increase productivity and reduce the specific cost of electricity for smelting.
0,5.This goal is achieved by the fact that in an induction furnace for melting refractory materials containing an inductor and a metal water-cooled crucible, the inner surface of a metal water-cooled crucible is made with an integral emissivity of less than 0.5.
The drawing is a diagram of the induction furnace, the cut.
The induction furnace contains an inductor 1 and a cold crucible 2, made of copper water-cooled sections 3. The surface of the sections that forms the furnace's melting space is polished, then on
0,08 - 0,2. this surface is electroplated with a metal layer. Radiant ability of the chromeplated surface is 0,08 - 0,2.
The induction furnace works as follows.
10 way.
Расплав отделен от водоохлаждаемых секций 3 холодного тигл 2 гарнисажем и воздушным зазором .When smelting in the furnace, the mixture of oxide material forms a melt which, being electrically conductive, heats up in the electromagnetic field of inductor 1. The melt is separated from the water-cooled sections 3 of the cold crucible 2 with a skull and air gap.
Одновременно снижаютс удельные затраты электроэнергии на плавку огнеупорных материалов .The heat loss from the melt is due to the thermal conductivity of the skull and air, and due to thermal radiation from the outer surface of the skull. However, due to the low emissivity of the surfaces of the water-cooled sections, the heat loss by radiation from the outer surface of the skull is reduced, i.e. The water-cooled sections 3, which are cold crucibles 2, simultaneously perform the function of a heat radiation screen. The arrows in the drawing show. cauldron supply and discharge of cooling water. So, when melting in the furnace of the proposed magnesium oxide design, heat loss by radiation is 8.4 kW. Since the heat loss due to the thermal conductivity of the skull and the air gap does not change, the total heat loss from the melt is 19.9 kW, which is 1.7 times less than when melted in a known furnace. This makes it possible to increase the cross-section of a cold crucible by 1.5-1.6 times, which, in turn, increases the productivity of the proposed induction furnace as many times as compared to the known one. At the same time, the unit cost of electricity for the smelting of refractory materials is reduced.
