Description
100-140°.Methods are known for the preparation of phenol-aldehyde synthetic resins using polyhydric alcohols, hexamethylenetetramine and various neutral salts as catalysts. The proposed method differs from the known ones in that hexamethylene tetramine is previously dissolved in a polyhydric alcohol when heated in the range of 100-140 °.
Растворы гексаметилентетрамина в многоатомных спиртах могут быть использованы при получении лаков, литых непрозрачных и прозрачных пластических масс и в производстве слоистых прессовочных изделий .Hexamethylenetetramine solutions in polyhydric alcohols can be used in the preparation of varnishes, cast opaque and transparent plastics and in the production of laminated molding products.
Example 1. Novolac resin obtained by condensation of phenol with formaldehyde, with a softening temperature of 75-80 °, containing 2-3% free phanol, cnviaBal at 150-180 with 40% glycerol (resin and glycerin are taken in a ratio of 7 5: 5, 2-30 / 0 CaCl2 is pre-dissolved in glycerin. A solution of hexamethylenetetramine in a polyhydric alcohol (glycerol, glycol, etc.) in an amount that is hexamethylenetetramine in the resin is about 8-10% is introduced into the alloy cooled to 70-80 °. After the introduction of hexamethylenetetramine and heating to 100-105 and then subsequent cooling, the modified resin is dissolved in ethyl alcohol, acetone or other solvents and used as a varnish for varnishing and impregnating paper and fabric without heating or heating 40-60 °. When heated above 40-60 °, the lacquer can also be used to coat a metal. Example 2. A liquid novolac resin obtained by condensation of phenol with formaldehyde in the presence of 3% phthalic acid, containing 10-12 / o water and about 2-5% of free phenol, is fused with a mixture of glycol and glycerin (80 % glycerol and 20 / o glycol) containing hexamethylenetetramine (the amount of hexamethylenetetramine is determined to be approximately 8-10% by weight of the novolac resin). The resulting alloy is poured into molds and heated to make the liquid resin solid.
In order to obtain clear cast phenoplasts, thorough removal of water is required under strong vacuum or by dissolving the resin in volatile azeotropic
Дл получени слоистых материалов жидкую или твёрдую резольную смолу сплавл ют с многоатомными спиртами, содержащими Б растворе гексаметиленУетрамин .To obtain a layered material, the liquid or solid resol resin is fused with polyhydric alcohols containing a hexamethylene Utratramine B solution.
При нагревании лакированных предметов и пропитанных материалов при темцературе до 100° не происходит выделени формальдегида и аммиака .The amount of hexamethylenetetramine is determined by the content of free phenol in the resin. For resins obtained in this way, it is characteristic: light permanent color, the practical absence of free phenol and formaldehyde and, consequently, their sanitary harmlessness, the ability to use these varnishes with pigments without heat treatment, after moderate tfmic treatment at 40-60 ° and after coating metal surfaces at high temperatures. Due to the fact that solutions or alloys of polyhydric alcohols with hexamethylenetetramine are introduced, the film or hardened resin obtained by surface coatings and impregnations is water resistant, unlike conventional condensation resins, in which a lot of glycerin or similar alcohols are added. When heated lacquered objects and impregnated materials at a temperature of up to 100 °, formaldehyde and ammonia are not released.
