Два полых цилиндрических барабана 1 и 2 (см. фиг. 1), сцепленные между собой зубчатыми бандажами, на чертеже не указанными, враща сь навстречу друг другу, имеют согласно расположенные в точках касани  3, в которых движутс  колодки 4. Колодки имеют на лобовой стороне соответственные режущие , щтампующие, загибающие и т. д. рабочие части, которыми в месте касани  барабанов обрабатываетс  (штампуетс ) материал. Необходимый нажим колодок 4 достигаетс  при штамповке тем, что они получают движение в радиальных прорез х 3 барабанов, посредством штоков 7, с которыми они шарнирно соединены в точках а. Штоки 7, шарнирно св заны с кольцевыми хомутиками 8, свободно насаженных на эксцентрично расположенных пальцах 5 (фиг. 2) валов 6. Пальцы 5 эксцентри-чно расположены по отношению к оси вращени  барабанов; в виду этого, при вращении системы, штоки 7 могут порывисто (в зависимости от величины эксцентриситета), вт гивать и выт гивать колодки 4. Валы располагаютс  так, что в плоскости касани , т.-е. штамповани  материала, колодки 4 максимально выдвигаютс  друг к другу. Штоки 7, образу  крестовины на раземных кольцах 8, могут поворачиватьс  в точках b на нужный угол, при посредстве устройства, не показанного на чертеже; количество отдельных обрабатывающих деталей устройства, зависит от назначени  машины. Величина барабанов 1 и 2, по окружности тем больше, чем шире дл  чистоты работы желательно иметь плоскости их касани . Ширина плоскости касани  определ етс  величиной штампуемых, преимущественно , мелких изделий.
