МОДИФИКАТОРMODIFIER
589274589274
The introduction of the proposed modifier into white cast iron, containing both Cu and C inhibitor elements and Ca and Ce inoculatory elements, allows one to obtain an increased number of active crystallization centers and to increase their growth rate by increasing the diffusion coefficient of carbon through a distorted crystalline iron grating. The formation of stable chemical compounds with oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur, cerium and Xycium neutralize their stabilizing effect on cementite. Simultaneously with an increase in the number of graphite graphite, cerium and calcium improve the shape, distribution and size of graphite inclusions, which contributes to an increase in the mechanical properties of cast iron. The graphitizing annealing of white iron, modified with calcium carbide, copper and cerium, proceeds much faster, since the total content in the metal of ceri, calcium, copper and carbon graphitizers, which increase the metastability of cementite, increases. The duration of the graphitizing annealing of white cast iron modified by the proposed modifier is given in the table.
