Description
%).The following metals have a high affinity for sulfur and phosphorus; rare earth metals form thermodynamically stable, with a high melting point, a compound with sulfur and phosphorus (sulfides and phosphides). Similarly, they form and silicides. The transition from the liquid flux to the bath of the decomposed metal, REM, is partially combined with sulfur, phosphorus and silicon, forming refractory compounds with a melting point higher than the crystallization temperature of the weld metal, i.e., they are additional crystallization centers and act as modifiers grind with the grain. Thus, neutralizing the harmful effect of irimes, rare earth metals narrow the solidification interval of the weld pool metal, provide the technological strength of the metal at elevated temperatures. In addition, having a high affinity for hydrogen, rare earth metals form hydrides with it, and to prevent the hydrogen embrittlement of the welding compound. With the introduction of rare earth metals in the form of oxides into the flux, the latter, pass through the high-temperature arc column, dissociate. The technology for preparing the proposed flux is as follows: REM in the form of a powder is thoroughly mixed with liquid glass in a ratio of 0: 1, dried in an oven at 20-300 ° C and frayed. Granulate the ground product, depending on the need. The rubbed product is mechanically thoroughly mixed with the prepared melting flux and in this form the mixture is supplied for welding. It is also possible the introduction of rare-earth metals in the flux at the stage of its smelting. It was made several batches of the proposed flux, the composition of which is given in the table (wt.%).
