The invention relates to the metallurgy of light metals, in particular to electrolytes for the production of aluminum-silicon alloys by melt electrolysis.
1.A known electrolyte for the production of aluminum-silicon alloys, including aluminum fluoride, sodium fluoride, alumina and silica 1.
Недостаток известного электролита состоит в том, что в процессе электролиза происходит накапливание кремнезема в электролите, что приводит к нарушению технологического режима (загустевание электролита, образование карбида кремни ) и ухудшению технико-экономических показателей процесса электролиза .A disadvantage of the known electrolyte is that in the electrolysis process, silica accumulates in the electrolyte, which leads to a violation of the technological regime (thickening of the electrolyte, the formation of silicon carbide) and the deterioration of the technical and economic indicators of the electrolysis process.
9%.Violation of the electrolysis mode is observed when the silica content in the electrolyte is from 0.7 to 9%.
%:The aim of the invention is to stabilize the electrolysis process and improve the technical and economic indicators of the process. This is achieved by the fact that the electrolyte contains these components in the following ratios, weight. %:
Three compositions were tested to select the optimal electrolyte composition. In all electrolyte compositions, the content of aluminum fluoride, sodium fluoride and alumina varies respectively within the range: 39.1- 45.0; 52.8-58.7 and 0.3-3.5 weight. % Silica content, wt. %: in the first electrolyte 0.31 + 0.07; in the second 0.58 ± 0.11; in the third 0.65 + 0.11. The electrolysis is carried out for 30-45 days at the pilot industrial electrolyzer (current 7 kA). Silica is introduced into the electrolyte mixed with alumina.
Technical and economic indicators of the electrolysis process are given in the table.
