Description

The invention relates to methods for the recovery of selenium from solutions that are used, for example, in the processing of copper electrolyte sludges. The known methods of extracting selenium from solutions by electrolysis do not allow obtaining selenium at high current densities and with high current outputs. According to the proposed method, sodium bicarbonate is preliminarily introduced into the solution, and electrolysis is carried out at a current density of 0, O5-OD A / cm. Sodium bicarbonate is introduced in an amount that ensures neutralization of the alkali produced during the electrochemical reduction of selenium. It provides a current output and maintains the acidity of the electrolyte. PRI me R. B solution containing 6O g / l Selenium is introduced 8O g / n sodium bicarbonate. After that, the resulting electrolyte is subjected to electrolysis for 5 hours at current densities O, O5j, O8; O, 1 A / cm. During the process, the pH of the 1 monitrolyte is maintained at 8-9. At the indicated current densities, the selenium current yield is 9О-1ОО%. According to a known method, such current outputs were achieved only at current densities of no more than O, O15 A / cm. The method can be realized in the conditions of returning the spent electrolyte to the stage of dissolving selenium dioxide or selenium of puffed intermediates, including the gases containing selenium. so that, in order to increase the current rate and maintain the constant acidity of electrons, nta. sodium bicarbonate is preliminarily introduced into the solution and electrolysis is carried out at a current density of 0, O5-O.1 2. Method pop. 1. Distinguishing that sodium bicarbonate is introduced in an amount to neutralize the alkali released during the electro-chemical reduction of selenium
