Description
Известные конструкции фотоэлементов с газовым усилением не дают возможности усиливать периодические фото-токи большой частоты (выше 10000 периодов ).Known designs of photovoltaic cells with gas amplification do not provide an opportunity to amplify high-frequency periodic photocurrents (above 10,000 periods).
Сущность предлагаемого изобретени заключаетс в способе усилени токов большей частоты при посредстве фотоэлемента .The essence of the invention is a method of amplifying higher frequency currents by means of a photocell.
Дл низких частот предел усилени ограничиваетс мощностью, рассеиваемой на электродах, а при высоких частотах-объемным зар дом положительных ионов, движущихс к катоду .The invention is illustrated in the drawing, which shows a photocell consisting of a gas-filled bulb /, inside which there is a photocathode 2 and an anode 3. The voltage between the cathode and the anode is set below the arc burning potential. The plates 4, 4 are applied to a high-voltage alternating electrical voltage. The frequency of the field is chosen to be very high so that the path of the electron from the cathode to the anode is zigzag and one or several ionizations occur at each zigzag. The newly produced electrons, directed towards the anode, in turn produce ionization, creating an increasing process. Positive ions, due to their greater mass, in most cases do not reach the speeds required for ionization, and are much less involved in the amplification process. For low frequencies, the amplification limit is limited by the power scattered by the electrodes, and at high frequencies by the volume charge of positive ions moving towards the cathode.
При усилении низких частот в процессе усилени участвуют как электроны, так и положительные ионы, а при усилении высоких частот положительные ионы дают ток, на который налагаютс импульсы электронного тока.When amplifying low frequencies, both electrons and positive ions are involved in the amplification process, and when amplifying high frequencies, positive ions produce a current on which pulses of electron current are applied.
Предмет изобретени .The subject matter of the invention.
Способ усилени фототоков большой частоты с помощью газового фотоэлемента , отличающийс тем, что разность потенциалов между фото-катодом и анодом делают ниже получающейс между этими электродами при разр де, а электроны , лет щие от катода к аноду, заставл ют при помощи внешнего быстропеременного пол , перпендикул рного оси трубки, двигатьс по зигзагообразной траектории, с целью ионизации за счет внешнего пол .A method of amplifying high-frequency photocurrents using a gas photocell, characterized in that the potential difference between the photo-cathode and the anode is made lower than that produced between these electrodes during discharge, and the electrons flying from the cathode to the anode are forced by an external fast-variable field, perpendicular to the axis of the tube, move along a zigzag path, in order to ionize due to the external field.
