The invention relates to the textile industry, namely to devices for moistening a FIBER material and can be used in cotton plants to moisten cotton raw before its production.

A device for moistening a fibrous material is known, comprising a hopper with perforated walls, placed in a conditioning chamber with nozzles for supplying a moistening agent.

In the proposed device, in order to more effectively moisten the material inside the bin, a duct with perforated walls is mounted for suction of the moistening agent.

The drawing schematically shows the proposed device.

The device for wetting the fibrous material comprises a hopper 1 placed in the chamber 2 with a nozzle 3 for supplying a moisturizing agent and a conveyor 4 for loading into the hopper a FIBER material, for example cotton. Inside the bunker, there is mounted a VALVE shaped air duct 5 with perforated walls and rollers 6, which divert the moistened material from the hopper. To increase productivity, the device may have two bins.

Each bunker has a top level sensor 7, which is triggered when the raw bunker is filled with raw cotton and provides a signal for changing the direction of rotation of the reversing motor of the slatted conveyor 4.

Raw cotton from the cleaning department is fed through a vacuum valve into the conditioning chamber 2 and enters the slat conveyor 4, which, depending on the direction of rotation of the drive, distributes raw cotton to the first OR second bunkers.

Simultaneously with the beginning of the supply of cotton, a ventilation fan is switched on to supply a humidifying agent that is previously prepared in a special installation, a moist moist air. The agent is blown through the nozzle at a certain rate through the perforated wall into the bunker, wetting the raw cotton.

To activate the process of moisture absorption by raw cotton inside each bunker, a special wedge-shaped air duct with perforated steppes is installed, connected in the lower part to an exhaust fan (not shown). When air is sucked out of the bunker through an air duct, moist air penetrates the entire mass of raw cotton in the bunker, thereby contributing to a more active moisture absorption by COTTON.

Adjustable louvers are provided for adjusting the pressure and relative air humidity in the conditioning chamber.

As soon as the bunker is filled with raw cotton, the upper level sensor is triggered, the lane conveyor changes direction, the raw cotton begins to flow into the second bunker and the whole moistening process repeats.

The moistened raw cotton with two pairs of rollers 6 is fed from a bunker onto a belt conveyor belt which guides the raw cotton to the end of the bunker, from where it comes to the gins.

The process of wetting cotton raw is regulated by changing the flow rate of the wetting agent and the relative humidity of the air in the conditioning chamber.
