Description

The method relates to the field of non-destructive control methods and can be used for ultrasonic testing of welds using the immersion method. The known method of ultrasonic testing of products, which means that the scanner scanned a controlled product and fixing the distance from its surface and detecting a defect, determine the point of entry of ultrasonic vibrations in the controlled product, according to the coordinates of the defect. The point of entry: the ultrasonic vibrations are determined by touching the metal pad with the right edges of the surface of the test item,; shifted to the place of input of ultrasonic vibrations, which is determined by the appearance of a signal on the oscilloscope. The disadvantages of the known methods are the high labor intensity, duration, and the accuracy of determining the point of entry of ultrasonic vibrations into the controlled product. . In order to improve the accuracy and productivity of the control according to the proposed method, the point of entry of ultrasonic vibrations is determined by means of a light beam, the light source of which is rigidly fixed on the seeker. Ia drawing shows a diagram of the device that implements the proposed method. Searchers 1 scan the monitored article 2 at a fixed distance from its surface, detect the defect by any of the known methods, and determine the point of entry of ultrasonic vibrations into the monitored item using a light beam. The light source 3 can be installed either with a collar ensuring its rotation to the required angle relative to the axis, while setting the light source in such a way that the light beam and the acoustic axis of the searcher intersect at the point on the surface of the tested item, which is the point of ultrasonic input. oscillation, or mounted on an ultrasonic finder with an axial hole for the fiber, while the light beam will constantly coincide with the acoustic axis of the finder, which eliminates the need for adjustment. When moving the finder, the light beam continuously indicates the point of ultrasonic vibrations input, 110 of which coordinates (when a defect is detected, the finder and, accordingly, the light beam is fixed at a certain point) judges the location of the defect. When connecting a light source to the terminal
