Description
One of the methods of electrolytic painting of metals is the already well-known method of coating metal with lead peroxide. According to this method, lead peroxide coating is produced anodically from alkaline lead oxide solutions.
Как прием выполнени способа окраски предусмотрено также нагревание электролита до интенсивного кипени .The present proposal, referring to this painting method, provides for a more uniform coating by adding an appropriate amount of chromic anhydride to the electrolyte. Heating the electrolyte to an intense boil is also provided as a method for performing the coloring method.
С. Лызлов Редактор -J. л1. The most suitable composition of the bath for the implementation of color, containing | metal lead-60 g, caustic potash or caustic soda-200 g, chromic an-I hydride-3 g, water-1 g, is prepared | following way. By dissolving metallic lead in nitric acid, lead nitrate is obtained, which is then diluted with water to 2 liters. Then, the solution prepared from 200 g of caustic alkali is slowly poured into the solution, while stirring, until the turbidity of the liquid stops. Obtained in re-expert D. S. As a result of this mixing, the precipitate of lead hydrate is washed two or three times with water and dissolved in an excess of alkali until bleaching, and after all this, 3 g of chromic anhydride and l l of water are added to the solution.
Chromic anhydride introduced into the solution during electrolysis promotes lead oxidation at the anode, which is why a more even coating is obtained.
During operation, the bath electrolyte is heated to an intense boiling point, the part to be painted is used as the anode, and the iron walls of the bath as the cathode. It is more expedient to use a voltage of 4-18 volts and a current density of 3 amperes per square inch.
