The device works as follows.

In order to avoid possible contamination of the carcass with oil and condensate contained in the compressed air, air leaks through the sealing of the rods of the pneumatic cylinders are collected inside the protective covers and diverted to the filter 18 through the channels 16 and 17.

Exhaust air from the percussion mechanism / is also filtered in filter 19, which acts as a silencer.
