Description
The proposed method relates to the field of electrolysis in non-ferrous metallurgy.
A known method for producing insoluble anodes, on the basis of lead and cobalt, in which cobalt is introduced into lead by means of a third component, in particular thallium. However, thallium is difficult to fuse with cobalt, and intense evaporation and oxidation of thallium occurs, which complicates the process. In addition, the introduction of the third component into the anodes leads to contamination of the cathode product with undesirable impurities.
The proposed method allows to obtain insoluble anodes from lead containing cobalt, without impurities of the third component, due to which a higher quality of the cathode product is achieved. Long-term tests have shown that the resistance of the anodes made by the proposed method triple exceeds the resistance of lead-sulfur-free anodes, usually used in the electrolysis of sulphate solutions.
According to the proposed method for increasing the purity of the anodes, cobalt is introduced into the molten lead by cementation from a melt of metal salts.
0,03-0,05%.The optimal composition of the salt electrolyte (in%): cobalt chloride 2, sodium chloride 64, dink chloride 34. The optimal cobalt concentration in lead is 0.03-0.05%.
Subject invention
получени нерастворимых свинцовых анодов, содержащих кобальт, дл электролиза сернокислых растворов, отличающийс тем, что, с целью повышени чистоты анодов, кобальт ввод т в расплавленный свинец цементацией из расплавов солей металлов .The method of obtaining insoluble lead anodes containing cobalt for electrolysis of sulphate solutions, characterized in that, in order to increase the purity of the anodes, cobalt is introduced into the molten lead by cementation from molten metal salts.
