Abstract

FIELD: production of dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborates of alkaline metals, particularly, production of potassium dodecahydro-closo-dodecaborate KBHhaving enriched isotopic composition which may be used for radiotherapy of malignant tumors. SUBSTANCE: KBHhaving enriched isotopic composition is prepared by heating mixture which comprises potassium tetraborate KBFhaving enriched isotopic composition with calcium hydride CaH, their mass ratio being 1:9(0.52-0.58). The process takes place at temperature 500-550 C and at hydrogen pressure in 4-6 atm. Yield of product is 68-72 %. EFFECT: increased yield of product; decreased temperature of the process. 1 tbl
