Горизонтальные трубопроводы 1 стыкуют с зазором 2, устанавливают с наружной стороны трубопровода над стыком защитную камеру 3 с отверсти ми 4, а под стыком размещают сварочную головку 5 с перегородками 6. Перегородки 6 образуют защитный объем 7, газовое давление в котором регулируетс зазорами б между торцами перегородок и внутренней поверхностью трубопроводов. Защитный газ (аргон ) 8 через центральное отверстие 9 заполн ет обьем 7 и камеру 3, а сварку осуществл ют вращением головки 5. Величину зазора (5i выбирают в пределах 0,51- 3,45 мм.
