Description
The invention relates to methods for producing heat insulating materials based on molten glass and can be used in the manufacture of building materials.
The aim of the invention is to simplify the process.
The method for producing the foamed glass is as follows.
The mixture, consisting of crushed to a particle size of less than 1.25 mm diopside and quartz rocks, pyrite and coal with a particle size less than 0.060 mm, is mixed and boiled at 1450-1470 ° for 2 hours.
1 и 2.The chemical composition of raw materials and foam glass is presented in table. 1 and 2.
Pyrite is reduced to the elemental medium under reducing conditions of glass melting and is distributed throughout the entire melt in a finely divided state.

Foam glass is sampled by pouring the melt onto a moving metal mesh submerged in water to a depth of 0.1-1.5 cm. When the melt comes into contact with water, intense gas formation occurs with the formation of a highly porous foam glass

If the metal mesh is not buried within 0.1-1.5 cm, no foaming of the glass mass is observed, since with a depth of less than 0.1 cm there is no contact with

водой, а при глубине более 1,5 см происходит быстрое охлаждение стекломассы.water, and at a depth of more than 1.5 cm, the glass mass is rapidly cooled.
The crushed stone and sand obtained on the basis of foam glass can be used for the manufacture of lightweight heat-insulating concrete, as a substitute for natural sand in the production of expanded clay concrete, for the manufacture of acoustic plaster and in other areas of construction.
