Abstract

FIELD: acceleration equipment. SUBSTANCE: invention may be used as generator of accelerated ions in technological equipment in various branches of technology and research. Accelerator includes accelerating system with cathode 1 and anode 2. Conductive rod 3 is located in cavity of anode 2 and is encapsulated in ceramic tube 4. Magnetic system 5 is connected with free ends of current carrying elements 6 to ends of rod 3 and anode 2. Plasma generator with cathode 7 and ignitor electrode 8 is positioned in cavity of anode 2. Current carrying elements 6 are fabricated in the form of turns of big and small diameters equal correspondingly to diameters of anode 2 and tube 4. Turns are arranged as follows: turn of big diameter in one of planes-turn of big diameter in another plane-turn of small diameter in same plane-turn of small diameter in plane of first turn of big diameter. Turns belonging to one plane have same direction of coiling. Turns belonging to different planes are coiled in opposition. Increase of beam current is obtained thanks to design features of accelerator. EFFECT: increased beam current. 2 dwg
