11.The lower part of the settling tank 5 has a drainage pipe 8. The filter element 9 is installed on the partition wall 4 and fixed on top by a cover 10 and a nut 11.
In the partition wall 4 there is a hole in which the supporting cup 12 is rigidly mounted, the upper part of which ends in a sleeve, which on the outer surface of which has a thread for mating with the nut 11. To drain water from the filter element 9 into the settling tank 5 into the separator The baffles under the drainage layer are filled with through holes 13, and in the lower part of the support cup 12 there is a hole 14 for air release from the sump body at the moment of filling the latter with fuel. The filter element in the direction of the fuel flow from outside to inside consists of a removable filter 15, Coagulating 16, drainage 17 and water-repellent 18 layers. The filtering and coagulating layers, respectively, are provided with perforated cylinders on the inner and outer sides, and bottom and top end caps on the bottom and on top, with sealing gaskets 19 installed on the covers of the coagulating layer only. The tight installation of the filtering layer 15 with respect to the coagulating layer 16 is carried out using the upper and lower split rings 20. The water-repellent layer 18 is placed directly on the outer surface of the support cup 12 and is permanently installed.
The sealing of the water repellent layer 18 with the support cup 12 is carried out with the help of sealing rings 21. The drainage layer 17 is installed in the annular space freely between the coagulating and water repellent layers. Hermetic installation of the filter element 9 in the filter separator housing is carried out using the cover 10, the sealing gasket 19, the nut 11, the sealing ring 22 placed in the annular groove of the upper part of the housing 1. Experimental studies have established that the dewatering process is low viscosity (up to 2.5 mm2 / s) and high viscosity (2.5 to 7.0 mm2 / s) is significantly affected by the thickness of the coagulating

23.lay Therefore, in order to standardize the filter element when dewatering fuels of various viscosities, its replaceable unit is a coagulating layer 16 and split rings 20. At the same time, the inner diameter of the coagulating layer remains constant and only the outer diameter changes. So, for example, for the dehydration of jet fuels (V, 1.4-1.5 mm2 / s) the optimum thickness of the coagulating layer is 20-22 mm, and for dehydration the diesel is about 3.8-3. , 9 mm2 / s) - 27-30 mm. To protect the filter element 9 from direct exposure to the flow of incoming liquid on the inner side of the housing 1, a protective visor 23 is installed at the location of the inlet pipe.
Filter separator works as follows.
Очищенное и обезвоженное топливо через верхнюю часть опорного стакана 12 поступает в верхнюю часть фильтра-сепаратора, ограниченную крышкой 6, и затем по выходному патрубку 3 удал етс из фильтра-сепаратора .The fuel contaminated with water and mechanical impurities through the inlet pltube 2 enters the filter separator housing, and then into the filter element 9, where it sequentially passes in the radial direction filtering 15, coagulating 16, drainage 17 and water-repellent 18 layers. In the filter bed 15, mechanical impurities are removed from the fuel. With the passage of the coagulating layer 16, the microdroplets of water contained in the fuel are enlarged to sizes that allow them to flow down the vertical channels of the drainage layer 17 down through the holes in the separation wall 4. Drops of water, the size of which didn’t allow the spill to drain into the sump 5 is carried away by the flow of fuel to the outer surface of the water-repellent layer 18, which has strong hydrophobic properties, where they coalesce with other drops of water and then also flow down into the filter-sep sump 5 arator. The cleaned and dewatered fuel through the upper part of the supporting cup 12 enters the upper part of the filter separator limited by the lid 6 and then is removed through the outlet nozzle 3 from the filter separator.
Фильтр-сепаратор позвол ет в 2,5 раза увеличить ресурс работы фильтрующего сло и упростить технологию изготовлени водоотдел ющей перегородки .The filter separator allows a 2.5-fold increase in the service life of the filtering layer and simplifies the technology of manufacturing the water separating partition.
