The aim of the invention, the reduction of the treatment time, is achieved by the fact that, in the well-known complex of hyposensitizing and stimulating therapy, starting from the 5th to the 6th day of it, include the introduction of a distiosan for 25-30 days twice a week.
The method is carried out as follows.
For 10–12 days, the patient was given non-specific hyposensitization therapy by intravenous injections of calcium gluconate, ascorbic acid, and antihistamine preparations. From the 5th-6th day of such therapy, the drug is administered with Propigiosan, prescribing it twice a week for 50-75-100 µg for 25-30 days.
The method is illustrated by the following clinical examples.
Example 1. Patient B., 37 years old, was admitted to the hospital with complaints of difficulty in nasal breathing, mucopurulent discharge, headache, malaise, and acute respiratory diseases 2-3 times a year. Sick since childhood. He underwent multiple nasal polypotomy, radial surgery on the left maxillary sinus and the cells of the ethmoid labyrinth. Outpatient treatment in various medical institutions did not produce a therapeutic effect. On examination, the patient had nasal breathing on both sides, the mucous membranes of the nasal cavity and nasopharynx were pale, swollen, and polyps were detected in the nasal passages. During the examination, positive skin reactions to non-hemolytic staphylococcus and prote allergens were detected in the nasal cavity during repeated studies of the growth of the bacterial flora were not detected. The patient was diagnosed with infectious-allergic recurrent sinusitis, nasal polyposis.

He was treated with prodigiosan in a hospital setting.
Every day, for 12 days, the patient received IV by 10 ml of 10% aqueous solution of calcium gluconate, 4 ml of 5% aqueous solution of ascorbic acid and 1 ml of suprastin. After 5 days from the start of treatment, 0.1 ml of Prodigiosan was additionally injected into the patient. The phenomena of intolerance to the drug is not marked. After 2 days, the dose of prodigiosan is increased to 1 ml. Marked rise in temperature to 37.6 °. The temperature returned to normal the next day. The next two injections of Prodigiosan, 1 ml every 3 days, passed without any adverse effects. The patient has decreased the amount of discharge from the nose, and nasal congestion worried only in the evenings. The introduction of prodigiosan continued up to 25-30 days. No adverse events noted. On examination: nasal breathing is free, there is no discharge, polyps have significantly decreased in size and do not interfere with nasal breathing. Skin reactions to bacterial allergens are negative. The amount of serum immunoglobulins of class M, which constituted 0.42 mg / ml before treatment, increased to 1.05 mg / ml. The concentration of class A and G immunoglobulins was within the normal range. In the next 3 years, the patient was under observation. Annual exacerbations were noted, however, as a result of taking antihistamines and sulfanyl-amide drugs for 10-12 days, they were removed. Nasal polypotomy was not performed during this period. The condition of the patient remains satisfactory.
Example 2. Ill LLL, 36 years old, was admitted to the clinic with complaints of a severe difficulty in nasal breathing, intermittent rhinitis. Constantly, it has been using vasoconstrictor drops for 3 years. Outpatient treatment with antihistamines, various ointments, and acupuncture therapy did not produce any effect. Recently treated for asthmatic bronchitis. With rhinoscopy: nasal breathing is extremely difficult, in the nasal passages the scanty mucous membrane is detached, the mucous membrane of the nose and nasopharynx is pale, with a bluish tinge. In case of an allergological examination: positive skin reactions to an allergen of hemolytic staphylococcus and prote; no bacterial microflora was found in the nasal secretion. Diagnosis: infectious-allergic rhinosinuitis. Prodigiosan treatment is proposed.
Within 10 days, 10 ml of 10% calcium gluconate solution, 5 ml of 5% ascorbic acid solution, and 1 ml of suprastin were administered intravenously to the patient. Against the background of a slight improvement in well-being, starting from the 6th day of such treatment, the patient was injected intramuscularly with first 0.1 ml of di-diosan, after 2 days - 1 ml, and then every 4 days with 1.5 ml of di-di-zorane over 30 days. Side effects, with the exception of a slight increase in body temperature after injection, were not observed. Rhinoscopic examination: free nasal breathing, nasal mucosa and nasopharynx pink, with no signs of edema, no discharge. Skin reactions with bacterial allergens are negative. The level of serum immunoglobulins A, M and G - within the normal range. When examined after 2 years, the patient does not make any complaints, only sometimes a little nasal congestion is disturbed. The patient's condition is satisfactory.
Все больные проходили не только клиническое , но и а л ле pro логическое, микробиологическое и иммунологическое обследова0 ни , результаты которых позволили объективно судить о состо нии каждого больного до и после лечени .5 The proposed method treated 30 patients, including six with a long-standing disease (since childhood). All patients underwent not only clinical, but also a le el pro logical, microbiological and immunological examinations, the results of which allowed us to objectively judge the condition of each patient before and after treatment.
Analysis of the data obtained suggests that the effectiveness of the treatment by the proposed method in the early stages is 56% with remission from 1.5 to 3 years. A significant reduction in the duration of treatment of patients and their stay in the hospital was achieved in 49% of cases.
