Description
The invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the development of cast iron compositions for metal molds.
The purpose of the invention is to increase thermal endurance under cyclic heat shift conditions.
Таким образом необходимость длительной выдержки металлу перед разливкой отпадает и повышаетс выход годного лить .For the cast iron of the specified composition, pig iron and steel scrap are used as charge materials. The iron is melted in a crucible induction furnace with an acid crucible lining. The melting of the melt with boron is carried out in a ladle at 1350-1400 C, with the additive of ferroboron FB1 in an amount of 0.015-0.052% of the mass of the liquid metal. Ferroboron before filling the bucket is placed on the bottom together with technically pure aluminum. In the process of filling the ladle, the metal is vigorously stirred, which ensures an acceptable digestibility of the input components. The digestibility of boron, introduced as PB 1, is 65-70%. When 0.01-0.03 wt.% Of boron is introduced into cast iron, the resistance of plastic to plastic deformation increases at high temperatures and the area of elastic deformation expands, resulting in increased resistance to non-stationary thermal-force loads. The boron microadditives loosen the alumina oxide traps, thereby significantly shortening the time of the floating up of the inclusions in the mass of the liquid metal when the ladle is filled. Thus, the need for long-term exposure of the metal before casting is eliminated and the yield of a suitable cast increases.
2,The chemical composition of the known and proposed cast iron is given in table. 1, and their properties in table. 2,
