Description

From the main auth. St. No. 136270 is a dielectric separator for the separation of minerals in a capacitor field, and consisting of a vessel with a liquid dielectric and two horizontal electrodes placed in it.

The proposed dielectric separator is more perfect than that known from the author. St. No. 136270 and differs from it in that the lower electrode is made in the form of an endless moving belt.

Such an embodiment of the separator ensures the continuity of the mineral separation process.

The drawing shows the proposed separator, a General view.

6.The separator consists of a bath of dielectric fluid /, the lower movable electrode 2, made in the form of an endless movable tape, such as a metal conveyor belt, a feeder 3 loading the separable material onto the tape, the upper electrodes 4 and a drive mechanism. The separation of minerals occurs in an electric field formed between the lower movable and upper stationary electrodes. Minerals with a smaller dielectric medium under the action of mechanical forces are pushed out of the floor and dropped from the tape into receivers 5: Minerals with a larger dielectric medium are attracted to the tape and unloaded at the end of the tape into the receiver 6.

The intensity of the electric field is regulated by the applied voltage and the distance between the upper and lower electrodes. For

В качестве среды используетс  смесь нитробензола с керосином, позвол юща  получить жидкость с заданной диэлектрической посто нной.creating an electric field, an alternating current of up to 500 volts is applied. A mixture of nitrobenzene with kerosene is used as a medium, which allows to obtain a liquid with a given dielectric constant.

Dielectric separator according to ed. St. No. 136270, characterized in that, in order to ensure the continuity of the mineral separation process, the lower electrode is made in the form of an endless moving belt.
