Description
The known plastics based on epoxy resins, along with good anti-friction properties, have several disadvantages. Polyamide resins are thermoplastic, which leads to a drop in strength and an increase in the coefficient (|) of the trenc cyc when heated. They are highly hygroscopic, which causes the instability of the dimensions of the parts. To increase the hardness, these parts must be subjected to heat treatment, and when they are used for abrasion due to low thermal conductivity, cooling and lubrication are necessary.
To eliminate these drawbacks, an anti-friction material is proposed to use a composition based on epoxy resin of mark ED-6 and low molecular weight thiokol.
This material of ETS-52 brand has the following, non-advantages. Its hygroscopicity is very low (10-30 times less than that of polyamides) and the non-swellability of gasoline and transformer oil ensures dimensional stability of the parts. These parts do not require lubrication. The coefficient of friction of the proposed material for polished steel is significantly lower than that of polyamides and is 0.02-0.04. The increased hardness of the material (23-25H) eliminates the need for additional heat treatment. Material ETS-52 has the following composition; ED-6 epoxy resin according to Bfy. MHP 6-Sh-55100 g.

No. 145347 - 2 Epoxy resin and liquid thiokol are heated with stirring to 40-50 ° for 30-40 minutes. and in the sequence listed, the remaining components are introduced. After the introduction of each part of the component mixture is thoroughly mixed. Then a homogeneous mass is formed into blocks of various shapes under a pressure of 2-3 kg / cm.
To increase the mechanical properties, titanium oxide can be introduced into the mass, but at the same time the thermal conductivity of the plastic decreases.
The described material can be used in the manufacture of various bushings, liners and other parts of machines and mechanisms, working on the abrasion.
