Abstract
The invention relates to methods for treating marble and limestone and can be used in stone processing industry to obtain painted, polished natural decorative stones, in the manufacture of souvenir products, in masking stains that appear on decorative plates during construction and operation, during restoration work. The aim of the invention is to improve the quality of color by preserving the texture and polishing of the stone and expanding the color gamut from pale pink to dark red. The method consists in sequential processing of marble and lime with aqueous solutions of copper (II) sulfate with a concentration of 0.2-1.22 mol-ions / l for 0.25-5 h and hexacyanoferrate (II) potassium concentration 0.05-0, 61 mol / l for 0.25-4 hours. The color is resistant to water, heat, solar radiation, mechanical abrasion. 2 tab. cl

The invention relates to the coloring of marble and limestone and can be used in stone processing for producing painted, polished natural decorative stones, in the manufacture of souvenirs, in masking stains arising on decorative plates during construction and maintenance, and in restoration work.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the quality of coloring by preserving the texture and polishing of the stone and expanding the color range from pale pink to dark red.
The method of processing natural decorative stones is carried out as follows.
Finished polished marble and limestone slabs are treated with aqueous solutions of copper (II) sulfate with a concentration of 0.2–1.22 mol-ions / l for 0.25–5 h and then hexacyanoferrate (II) with a potassium concentration of 0.05– 0,61 mol / l per 0.25-4 4, the marble processing time is selected depending on the desired color intensity.
Example. The finished polished slabs of light marble are treated with an aqueous solution of copper (II) sulfate at a concentration of 1.22 mol-ion / l for 5 hours, then with an aqueous solution of potassium hexacyanoferrate (II) for 4 hours and washed with water. Marble is obtained in a dark red color with preserved texture and polishing.

Получают плиты известн ка светло-красной окраски с сохранением вз той текстуры .PrinerZ, Finished limestone slabs are treated with an aqueous solution of copper (II) sulfate with a concentration of 0.6 mol-ion / l for 0.25 h, and then with an aqueous solution of hexacyanoferrate (ill) potassium concentration of 0.05 mol / l for 0.25 hours. Limestone plates are obtained in a light red color with preserved texture.
Example4. Limestone and travertine staining was carried out under conditions similar to example 3, with the difference that the staining solutions were applied by spraying. Limestone and travertine slabs are obtained in a light red color with preserved texture.
.Examples of the method of painting marbles to limestones are given in Table. .
2.The test results of colored natural stones are given in table. 2
