При внедомениой обработке жидкого чугуна цорошкообразиымп реагентами происходит значительное выпыливание их. Так, при, обработке чугуна в ковшах, с целью удалени  вредных прнмесей (серы), потери соды и руды вследствие выпыливани  составл ют соответственно 21-32% и 7-11%.
