Description

The proposed single-color compensation photometer with a switching device for continuous automatic determination of the concentration of the solid phase in liquid and gaseous media, in contrast to the known photometers, eliminates measurement errors caused by clouding of the cell windows during measurement and periodic variation of the layer length of the medium under investigation. This is achieved by the fact that one of the windows of the cell is movable. This advantage of the proposed photometer in comparison with the known ones makes it possible to conduct continuous measurements under industrial conditions, without the use of slow changes in the radiation of the source, from the transparency of the windows of the cell and the properties of the photocell.

The drawing shows a schematic diagram of the described device.

Подвижное смотровое окно 5 кюветы совершает возвратно-поступательное движение с определенным циклом, то уменьша , то увеличива  до определенных значений толщину сло  просвечиваемой среды, в св зи с чем длина хода светового пучка в кювете периодически мен етс .The photometer has one linear optical channel and contains the light source 1, cell 2, one of the viewing windows 3 of which is movable, and the photocell 4. The movable viewing window 5 of the cell reciprocates, then decreases to a certain values of the layer thickness of the medium being examined, in connection with which the length of the light beam in the cell varies periodically.

A parallel beam of monochromatic light from the source / is directed through the cuvette 2, through which the controlled medium passes and enters the photocell 4. As a result of the photocell being illuminated, voltage pulses appear at its output, the amplitude of which is directly proportional to its illumination. After strengthening to the required
