Изобретение относитс к области металлургии, а именно к составу стали , предназначенной дл изготовлени валков холодной прокатки. Цель изобретени - повьшение контактно-усталостных характеристик и шлифуемости стали. Это достигаетс путем введени в сталь ниоби и меди при следующем соотношении компонентов, мае.%;углерод 0,72-0,82; марганец 0,20-0,40; кремний 0,80-1,20; хром 1,10-1,40; молибден 0,20-0,30; церий 0,05-0,10; ниобий 0,02-0,15; медь 0,35-0,55; железо остальное.
