Предлагаема  клеть отличаетс  от известных тем, что на шеаки валков надеты ролики, опирающиес  на наклонные направл ющие, а в станину клети вмонтированы подвижные клинь  со скощенными планками , служащие дл  разведени  валков при вводе затравки. Дл  обеспечени  равномерного распределени  нагрузки между всеми четырьм  роликами 5 направл юща  6 крепитс  к станине жестко, а направл юща  7 выполн етс  самоустанавливающейс  в горизонтальной плоскости. Така  система валков 2, роликов 5 и клинообразных направл ющих 6 п 7 обеспечивает при правильном подборе угла между направл ющими самозахватывание слитков, зажимаемых между валками под действием силы т жести слитка и валков. Наличие роликов 5, служащих одновременно нодщинниками дл  валков, устран ет защемление валков между слитком и направл ющими и позвол ет в зависимости от направлени  вращени  приводных валков легко опускать или поднимать слиток при посто нном сохранении давлени  валков, требуемого дл  удержани  слитка. Раздвигание валков 2 при введении слитка или затравки осуществл етс  двухсторонними клинь ми 9, грани которых соприкасаютс  снизу с роликами 5 и св заны между собой перемычками 10.
