Abstract
The two bottom rolls (15) are mounted in a vertically non-adjustable fashion on the supporting rollers or supporting rolls of fixedly mounted supporting pedestals and their preloadable top roll (14) can be adjusted vertically with its bearings held in a tilting-bearing stand (9) and a hinged bearing stand and with the bearings situated in the preloading stands and the lifting devices used for preloading in order to set the gap between the bottom rolls and the top roll. For setting the height and inclination of the top roll (14), lifting spindles (16) with worm-wheel mechanisms (17, 18) which can be actuated together or separately, as desired, can be arranged in the stands (9) which accommodate the said top roll. <IMAGE>
