Description

This invention relates to methods for studying optical elements of the eye.

The disadvantages of the known methods for studying optical elements of the eye by measuring photographs of the optical section of the eye in the light of a slit lamp are: the need to significantly increase the negatives, which leads to a decrease in the clarity of the measured contours and affects the measurement accuracy; does not take into account the different scales of different areas of photographic images of the optical section of the eye; To take into account the effect of the angle made by the direction of the optical axis of the camera and the plane of the slit cut, at least two pictures are taken, each of which requires a separate installation, which does not guarantee the identity of the elements displayed on the negatives.

The proposed method substantially eliminates these drawbacks and improves the accuracy of determining the optical eye parameters. To this end, photographing the optical section of the eye is made by a stereophotogrammetric camera from a single installation in the light of a slit lamp equipped with a dual-mode pulsed light source. The resulting stereo pairs are measured on a stereo photogrammetric instrument, for example, a stereocomparator, and the parameters of the optical apparatus of the eye are calculated from the measurement results.

As a result, stereoscopic measurements are more accurate than monocular ones.
