Description

This invention relates to methods for studying optical elements of the eye.

The disadvantages of the existing methods for assessing visible changes in the eye with biomicroscopy are their subjectivity, dependence on the qualifications of the observer, and the absence of any quantitative characteristics. Some attempts to obtain quantitative characteristics of the measurement results, for example, the depth of the anterior chamber (Ulbricht's drum), did not produce polol results because of inaccurate measurements.

The proposed biomicroscopic eye method almost completely eliminates the indicated drawbacks and allows direct spatial measurements of the elements of optical sections of the eye and the fundus of the eye visible in the light of the slit lamina, in order to obtain quantitative characteristics for monitoring the course of pathological processes in dynamics.

The proposed method makes it possible to measure the thickness of the cornea, the depth of the anterior chamber, the thickness of the lens, the depth of the pathological changes in the eye, the thickness of the blood vessels of the fundus of the fundus, the size of the pathological foci and tumors in the fundus of the optic nerve nipple (for example, when the nipple is stagnant) , height of retinal detachment and a number of other changes.

The high measurement accuracy (on the order of 0.07 mm) makes it possible to notice the slightest changes in the size of an object over time.

The essence of the proposed method is as follows: Observed in a binocular of a stereomicroscope a three-dimensional image of an optical slice of the eye or fundus, combine a spatial image of measuring marks installed in the focal plane of the binocular, and measuring the parallactic displacements when the marks are placed on the studied points, calculate then their relative positions in space.

The stereo-ometric method of biomicroscopy of the eye using a slit lamp is distinguished by the fact that, in order to make spatial measurements of the elements of the anterior segment of the eye and the fundus, the spatial marks visible in the binocular field are directed to the measured object and the measurement parallactic displacements, according to which the spatial dimensions of the object being measured are judged.
