Description

The subject of the invention is a method of drying fine fibrous materials by direct electrical heating, for example, a paper web in a paper machine.

Известные способы сушки тонких волокнистых материалов на сушильных прессах, цилиндрах или барабанах, обогреваемых паром, не позвол ют интенсифицировать процесс сушки и снизить металлоемкость сушильного оборудовани .The known methods of drying thin fibrous materials on drying presses, cylinders or drums heated by steam, do not allow to intensify the drying process and reduce the metal intensity of the drying equipment.

The described method has the advantage over the known ones, which is expressed in intensifying the dewatering process, for which a low voltage of industrial frequency (50 Hz) is used. Perform this method as follows.

Electric current of low voltage of industrial frequency is passed through the material with a high moisture content under the next drying, resulting in heat generation throughout the material that is heated and dried simultaneously with the movement of the dried material between the moving electrodes in the drying section of the papermaker.

One of the electrodes can be made, for example, in the form of a hollow cylinder with holes for evacuating steam, and the second - in the form of an endless metal mesh, which with the help of pressure rollers covers a part of the cylindrical electrode, making electrical contact with the dried material.

The drawing shows exemplary diagrams of an apparatus for carrying out the described method.

The wet material is drawn by the moving electrodes 2 and -Y, and the movement of the electrodes is carried out in one of the known ways.

The method of drying thin fibrous materials by direct electrical heating, for example, paper web in a paper machine, is different in that, in order to intensify the dewatering process, a low voltage of industrial frequency (50 Hz) is used, while heating and drying drying simultaneously with the movement of the dried material between the slides, imis electrodes in the drying section of the paper machine.
