Description

A relatively small number of different vulcanization accelerators are currently used in the rubber industry. Therefore, expanding the range of vulcanization accelerators, each of which imparts specific properties to the vulcanizates, is highly desirable.

Указанные органические соединени  представл ют собой кристаллические порошки белого цвета: первый с температурой плавлени  74°-76° и второй-44°-45°.Organic compounds belonging to the class of N-morpholylcarbothiosulfenyl alkylamides are proposed as accelerators for the vulcanization of rubber mixtures from natural and synthetic rubbers. N-morpholylcarbothiososfendimethylamide and morpholylcarbothiosulfenethylethylamide, obtained by reacting morpholine with carbon disulfide in an alkaline medium and subsequent oxidative condensation of the reaction product with the corresponding secondary aliphatic amines. These organic compounds are white crystalline powders: the first with a melting point of 74 ° -76 ° and the second-44 ° -45 °.

According to the authors, these compounds are effective accelerators for the vulcanization of rubber compounds based on natural and synthetic rubbers. A very valuable feature of the proposed vulcanization accelerators is the combination of their high vulcanization activity with a significantly lower ability to premature vulcanization compared to captax.
