The invention relates to wastewater treatment and can be used for dechlorination and debromination of wastewater from the chemical industry, non-ferrous metallurgy and other industries. The purpose of the invention is to increase the degree of dehalogenation. Example1. 1 g of the product, isolated from the sulphate waste of alkylation of petroleum products and which is a mixture of organic substances composition,%: 80.9; H 11.3} .S 4.3; N 1,2; O 2,3; (The empirical formula is C 14.6; H 24.5; N 0.19; S 0.27; O 0.3; MW - 428.5, density at 20 ° - 0.962 g / cm, acid number 34 , 0451 mg KOH / g Fractional composition 95 -145 ° yield 24.3851%; 145-195 24, 8173%; 320-370 ° -8.0329%; 370-420 6.9204%; 420-445-10 , 54430; 445 23%, sulfur is elementary -2.3%. Fractions 95-195 are obtained at atmospheric distillation, over 195 - vacuum distillation) are placed in a 0.25 liter conical flask and filled with 0.2 l of water containing 0, 5 g / l of active chlorine. The contents of the flask are shaken at 20 ° C. for 3 minutes. The sorbent is filtered off. Under these 492 conditions, 100% chlorine sorption is achieved. Example 2. Under the conditions of the example, 1.1 g of the product of the above composition is poured with 0.2 l of bromine water containing 1 g / l of active bromine, and stirred for 3 minutes. 100% bromine sorption is observed. Example According to the conditions of Example 1, a model brine from the bromine plant containing 0.056-0.058 g / l of active bromine and 0.001-0.0015 g / l of active chlorine is dehalogenated. Full dehalogenation is achieved in 1.5 minutes with the amount of sorbent 0.5 g. Example 4. 1 g of a product saturated with bromine (chlorine) is treated to regenerate a sulphite-alkaline solution with a sodium sulphite concentration of 100-120 g / l, caustic soda 70-80 g / l. Regeneration is achieved in 3-5 minutes. Carrying out the process by the proposed method makes it possible to effectively dehalogenize waste waters with a high content of bromine and chlorine while reducing the sorption time by 1.5–2 times and the sorbent consumption by 5–6 times, and also dispose of the waste product.
