Известны промышленные способы регенерации резин с применением в качестве активаторов процесса цинковой соли ксилилмеркаптана, цинковой соли пентахлортиофенола (ренацит IV) и алифатических меркаптанов .Known industrial methods for the regeneration of rubbers using as an activator of the process of the zinc salt of xylylmercaptan, the zinc salt of pentachlorothiophenol (renazit IV) and aliphatic mercaptans.

В качестве активатора процесса регенерации резины также примен ют , но в ограниченных масштабах, трихлортиофенол (ренацит II). Недостатком последнего активатора, преп тствуюшим широкому использованию ,  вл етс  его токсичность, сильный непри тный запах и изменение свойств при хранении под вли нием кислорода воздуха.Trichlorothiophenol (renazite II) is also used as an activator of the rubber regeneration process, but on a limited scale.
