Doteraz známe a používané riešenia vysoko pružných zariadení na upevnenie koľajníc a súčastí výhybiek sú založené buď na kompaktnej zostave s vulkanizovanou gumou, pomocou ktorej sa dosahuje tlmenie otrasov či pohlcovanie dynamického namáhania koľajníc vo zvislom a vodorovných smeroch, používaných predovšetkým pre pevnú jazdnú dráhu alebo zariadení z rozoberateľných zostáv upevnenia, predovšetkým pre koľajnice, s pružnými prvkami tvorených pružnou medzidoskou pre tlmenie vo zvislom smere. Tento typ zariadenia je používaný predovšetkým pre podvaly na štrkovom lôžku. Zariadenie na upevnenie koľajníc a výhybiek sa tiež delia na podkladnicové a bezpodkladnicové.
