Abstract

A multi-storey apartment building includes a plurality of apartments. Each apartment includes a framework comprising at least two opposed wall structures, a ceiling structure and a floor structure. Each said structure comprises a plurality of truss elements, an inner covering layer, an outer covering layer and an enclosed void between the inner and outer covering layers that extends substantially continuously through the floor structure, the ceiling structure and the opposed wall structures. An insulating material fills the void and forms an insulating layer that extends substantially continuously through the floor structure, the ceiling structure and the opposed wall structures of each apartment. The apartments are stacked vertically in the multi-storey apartment building.
