Zaščitni sklop na osnovi električne uporovne varovalke s talilnim elementom je opisan v EP 0 718 862 in obsega ohišje s pokrovom, v katerega je vgradljiva električna uporovna varovalka s talilnim elementom. Po drugi strani pa je pri rešitvi iz WO 2007/131868 Al razvidno, da je ohišje zaradi možnosti odvajanja toplote iz njegove notranjosti na svojih bočnih stenah opremljeno s skoznjimi prehodi oz. režami. In such cases, significant heat generation occurs in the fuse area inside the case, and heat dissipation out of the case is greatly hindered. In such a case, the housing walls are exposed to relatively high temperatures, especially in the areas near the fuse. Especially in the case of long-term exposure to relatively high temperatures, there may even be a change in the structure of the housing material, which is usually visible at first glance as a change in color, but in a physical sense this also leads to a change in the strength of the material and the roughness and porosity of the surface, as a result as well as changes in electrical conductivity or penetration. The change in roughness increases the possibility of retaining moisture and dust on the surface, which can lead to the appearance of electrical conductivity through the surface of the case itself. In this regard, the areas of the housing wall between the mentioned slots are the most exposed, in which the changes are also most noticeable at a glance. Therefore, in practice, safety rules dictate that immediately after identification of any color change, e.g. yellowing of the housing surface, immediately replace the entire protective assembly.
