Abstract

The clamping mechanism of ring binder includes a baseplate (1) and a pair of firmly connected thorns (11, 12) as well as a pair of swivelling thorns (21) which can be moved towards the thorns (11, 12) thanks to the movement of the adequate control handle (3). The aim of the invention is to provide that despite only minimum modifications of the existing mechanism the handle (3) even in the open position of the aforementioned thorn pairs (11, 12; 21, 22) is located in such a position that the user has the possibility of scrolling the leaves clamped in the mechanism. According to the invention a two-part handle is anticipated (3) whose primary part (31) is in the rotating point (30) rotationally linked to the holder (13) on the baseplate (1), while its secondary part (32) is rotationally linked to the aforementioned primary part (31). On the primary part (31) of the handle (3) there is at a distance from the rotating point (30) a clamping element (35', 35'') provided, which interacts either with the flat part (251) or the slant part (252) of the supporting part (25) which is available in the central area (25) of the clamping mechanism (2).
