Abstract

Subject of the submitted invention is a procedure and device for reducing the ribbing of rails, noise level and friction between wheel and rail by applying a lubricant to the rail, thus solving the problem of lubricating the rail due to its reduced ribbing and reducing friction between the rail and rail wheel. The advantages of the procedure and device according to the invention are in particular small consumption of highly-effective lubricants, highly controlled quantity dosage, since the environment friendly device is made almost completely out of aluminium and distributes very small quantities of biodegradable media to a specific spot, while the contact-free operation is provided even in sharp turns (small radius), the maintenance cost is neglectable, the media filling cycles are significantly reduced, which altogether results in increased operation effectiveness. The lubricating device can be installed and removed very simply by using a wedge clamp, which also reduces the device operating cost.
