Abstract

OF THE DISCLOSURE A pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer attached polarizing film of the present invention is used nearer to a viewing side of an image display device than an image display section in the image display device, the pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer attached polarizing film has a polarizing film, and respective pressure-sensitive-adhesive layers over both surfaces of the polarizing film, the polarizing film has a polarizer, and respective transparent protective films over both surfaces of the polarizer, the transparent protective film on the viewing side of the polarizer has a transmittance less than 6% at a wavelength of 380 nm, and the pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer on the viewing side of the polarizing film has an ultraviolet absorbing function. The present invention can provide a pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer attached polarizing film which can solve the problem of the lowering in the yield and which allows, even at a time when its polarizing film is thin, to give an image display device a higher ultraviolet-ray-cutting function and be restrained from being curled.
