Abstract
The present invention provides a display device for which a seal inspection can easily be carried out. The present in - vention is a display device provided with first a and a second substrate and a seal. The first substrate includes a shift register formed monolithically on an insulating substrate and a plurality of bus lines. The shift register includes plurality of a unit circuits connected in multiple stages. Each of the plurality of unit circuits includes clock terminal, an output terminal, a an output transistor in which one of the source and drain connected is to the clock terminal and the other connected to the output terminal, and bootstrap a capa citor (CAP) for which a first terminal is connected to the output transistor gate and a second terminal to the output terminal. The bootstrap capacitor (CAP) includes first electrode, an insulating a layer on the first electrode, and second electrode a on the insulat - ing layer. A first cut-out part and/or a first opening part are provided on the first electrode, and a second cut-out part and/or a second opening part are provided on the second electrode facing the first cut-out part and/or the first opening part.
