Abstract

A power plant comprises a combustor (1), in which a combustion of a fuel while forming hot flue gases is intended to take place, means (9, 10, 36) for supplying first combustible gases to a location (8, 25) in or in the immediate proximity of the path of said flue gases downstream of the combustor and at least a burner (42, 43) adapted to cause a combustion of the first combustible gases at said location for mixing the gases resulting therefrom with said flue gases for increasing the temperature of the latter. The plant also comprises additional means (34, 35) separated from said means for supplying additional second combustible gases to said location, and said additional means comprise members (35) for optionally regulating the supply of said additional second combustible gases.
