Abstract

An air channel (11) for a part flow from the main drying chamber is connected to a model drying chamber (10) and the air flow is fed back to the main drying chamber. In the air channel is arranged a damper (14) for regulating air speed. In or in connection with the model drying chamber is arranged a weighing device (13) for weighing continuously a limited number of sample pieces (12) taken out of the product in the main drying chamber. The weighing device is connected to a computer for controll or/or monitoring the drying process in the main drying chamber. The computer, dependent upon signals from the weighing device and the commencement moisture content of the sample pieces, is in a position to calculate the moisture content of the sample pieces and changes in it for control and/or monitoring of the drying process in the main drying chamber.
