Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a follow-up examination of a leakage from a fuel assembly by separating gas component from water suctioned from an upper part of a core of a fuel reactor by a suction mantle and concentrating unclear fission product like gas by nuclear fission generation gas detection circuits to examine the gas component. CONSTITUTION: A suction mantle 9 is moved continuously on a fuel assembly 8, reactor cooling water 6 suctioned from the inside thereof is suctioned to concentrate a nuclear fission product like gas by nuclear fission generation gas detection circuits 14 to 19 through a hose 12 and a pump 13, the sampled gas is examined, and the existence of the nuclear fission product is monitored continuously. When a leakage of the nuclear fission product is detected, a zone on a reactor core 4 is overlapped and the mantle 9 is moved the cover the whole zone of the fuel assembly 8 in which a leakage occurs. This enables the sure judgment whether the nuclear fission product leaks from the fuel assembly 8 in the reactor core 4 or not.
