Abstract

This invention relates to a method in the positioning of ionizing radiation fields in X-ray equipment and the like and to the apparatus to be used when carrying out the method. For the positioning, a field of light is compared with the radiation field from the X-ray equipment. The field of light is adjusted or positioned on a measuring plate in agreement or coincidence with marks (2, 3, 4, 5) on the plate, which is subsequently irradiated with X-rays, the area of irradiation being measured by means of detectors. The degree of coincidence between the field of light and the field of radiation is indicated on the measuring plate by means of light-diodes (6, 7, 8, 9) of different colours.
