Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for increasing the energy conversion from detonating, high-energy, metal-containing explosives mixtures with the aid of exothermic intermetallic alloying reactions between metal components incorporated in the explosives mixture. The invention also concerns explosives mixtures formulated in accordance with the method.
