Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to form a unit in which ion exchange beds can continuously and freely move in filters by constituting the main parts of strainer means of plural separate elements, arranged in relations parted from each other. CONSTITUTION: The condensate cleaning filter in the water circulation system in a power plant has the strainer means 24 to 27 arranged to come into contact with the beds 15 in an inlet 20 for the water entering the inside of the beds 15 and an outlet 21 of the water from the beds 15. These strainer means have apertures permeable to the water but impermeable to the particles of ion exchange resins. The strainer means are distributed with the apertures in a perpendicular direction and are arranged in the beds 15. Further, at least the two spaced strainer means 24, 25 for the inlet 20 of the water and at least the two spaced strainer means 26, 27 for the outlet 21 of the water are arrayed in the sequence that the means 24, 25 of the one kind and the means 26, 27 of the other kind are alternately lined up outward from the centers of the beds.
